Pilot Operated Pressure reducing Valve – PPM
The Polyhydron PPM series refers to their line of Pilot Operated Pressure Reducing Valves, which are used in hydraulic systems to provide a stable, reduced pressure at an outlet port.

- Application : Industrial & Mobile Systems
About this item
The Polyhydron Pilot Operated Pressure reducing Valve – PPMÂ is a two-stage pilot-operated pressure reducing valve designed for precise control of downstream pressure in hydraulic systems. It is a normally open type valve, allowing flow until the pressure at the secondary port (port B) reaches the set value. Once the set pressure is achieved, the valve closes against the spring to maintain the desired pressure level, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
| Size | Max. Working Pr. (Inlet) | Reduced Pr. | Max. flow (l/min) |
|---|---|---|---|
| PPM10 | 315 | adjustable upto 5 to 315 | 80 |
| PPM20 | 200 | ||
| PPM30 | 300 |
Operational Details
-
- Normally Open: Unlike relief valves, these are normally open. They close to restrict flow once the secondary port pressure reaches the set limit.
- Two-Stage Construction: These utilize a pilot poppet and a main spool (two-stage poppet/spool) to ensure precise control even with varying inlet pressures.
- Fluid Compatibility: Designed for mineral oil with a viscosity range of 10 to 380 cSt and temperatures from -20°C to +70/80°C.
