DPSM-690 – Differential Pressure Switch Mechanical
The Wika DPSM-690 is a heavy-duty, mechanical differential pressure switch designed primarily as a safety cut-out device for refrigeration compressors. It protects the compressor from catastrophic mechanical failure due to lubrication failure. It does this by constantly measuring the pressure difference between the oil pump discharge line and the compressor crankcase.
- Operating Pressure : High Performance Range
- Application : Industrial & Mobile Systems
About this item
The Wika DPSM-690 is a highly reliable, mechanical differential pressure switch engineered primarily as a safety device for pressure-lubricated refrigeration compressors. Often branded under the Wika (Indfos) name, it protects equipment by monitoring the difference between the lubricating oil pressure (\(P_{1}\)) and the crankcase suction pressure (\(P_{2}\)). If this differential pressure (\(P_1 – P_2\)) fails to reach or falls below the designated set point during operation, the integrated control breaks the motor circuit to prevent oil-starvation damage.
